Frequently Asked Questions

Therapy won’t change my work or its demands. What’s the point?

If you are only seeking changes that are outside your personal control, therapy is not the best path to your goal. If, however, you would like to take control of how you respond to your situation and how it affects you, therapy is likely to be beneficial. Healthcare is not going to get easy. But if you can manage your distress, address your trauma, and reconnect with your purpose, it will get easier.

How can I fit therapy into my schedule?

We offer therapy sessions in lengths of both 30 minutes and 50 minutes, starting at 5:00 AM EST. In addition, after an intake session, we can discuss whether asynchronous messaging would be a good fit for you.

If asynchronous messaging is right for me, can we text?

No. Though there is clear evidence about the effectiveness of asynchronous therapies, we find texting to be too casual and insufficiently secure. We conduct asynchronous messaging therapy through a HIPAA-compliant platform with end-to-end encryption.

Are your services confidential?

We take confidentiality very seriously. Our services are confidential except in cases of a clear risk to life and safety or where otherwise required by law. The limits of confidentiality are covered fully in the Informed Consent document, and we will discuss these limits and any questions you may have at our first session.

Do you offer coaching?

Coaching is a wonderful tool for helping you move towards achieving goals. It is important to clarify that my expertise and dedication lie in the realm of treating mental health conditions. As such, I specialize in providing services that focus specifically on addressing and improving mental well-being.
